Digicel rewards customers with daily cash prizes, organizes Family Fun Day on Saturday and ropes in Digicel Fiji Sevens Reps to join the registration events

 

Wednesday, 28 July 2010 – Suva, Fiji: Digicel Fiji today has thanked its customers for their efforts in registering under the Telephone Services Decree and has also roped in members of the Digicel Fiji Sevens team to be part of the registration drive.

Digicel customers have been flocking to numerous different venues throughout the country to register, and to reward its loyal customers, Digicel Fiji will have the members of the Digicel Fiji Sevens team registering their phones and meeting the members of the public on Saturday in Nadi and Suva.

Members of the public will get to meet the Digicel Fiji Sevens team members at Sukuna Park in Suva during the Digicel Family Fun Day and at Nadi’s Tabua Park. Both events start at 9am with live radio broadcasts throughout the day. An outdoor broadcast for customers in Lautoka will also take place on Saturday at the flagship store with giveaways galore.

Digicel SIM cards will be on sale during the day, and customers can sign up for Digicel’s latest service-- Digicel Mobile Money- which turns your phone into an electronic wallet and you can send and receive money nationwide, pay your Digicel postpaid bill or top yourself up.

Digicel is using every possible method to make the process easy for its customers, by providing photocopying facilities at the main stores, selected dealer stores and at mobile registration units, as well as cameras at main stores.

 

Digicel Fiji Director Marketing, Niamh Byrne said, “We would like to thank our customers for their effort in taking the time out to register. Our advice for customers is to register early, in order to avoid the rush. With the registration deadline on August 21, we urge customers to register as soon as possible. As part of an incentive to reward customers for registering early, Digicel is giving away daily cash prizes and other special gifts to customers who register their numbers on or before August 15.”

 

 

As part of Digicel Fiji’s Island Drive, registration is taking place today in Koro, Taveuni, Mamanuca, Lau and Vanuabalavu, in the Yasawas tomorrow and Rotuma on Wednesday August 4.

 

The schedule for the West and Southern/Eastern areas are as follows:

Ongoing in Lautoka, Nadi, Ba and Sigatoka with the Digicel Gig-Rig in Sigatoka tomorrow. The registration is happening at Hansons in Makoi today, with USP tomorrow and Nausori on Friday.
