DIGICEL PARTNERS WITH BSP TO FURTHER EXPAND MOBILE MONEY NETWORK
Thursday, November 3 – Suva, Fiji: Digicel Fiji has today partnered with BSP to add the bank’s 20 branches to the growing nationwide network of outlets where customers can lodge or withdraw cash from their Digicel Mobile Money wallets.
Digicel Mobile Money has transformed Digicel phones into electronic wallets offering customers a convenient and secure way to transfer money to any mobile phone in Fiji, pay Digicel post-paid bills, top-up and deposit or withdraw cash from their electronic wallets at select Digicel and Post Fiji and soon BSP outlets across the country. There are now 90 plus outlets supporting the service across urban and rural Fiji.
Registration is free and thousands of customers have already joined and are using the service to make their lives easier, less than two weeks since the service was launched.

BSP Fiji Country Manager, Kevin McCarthy said, “We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with Digicel Fiji with whom we already have phone top up.”
He continued “BSP has the largest and the widest branch network of all banks in Fiji. Partnering Digicel Fiji to provide their customers Digicel Mobile Money services adds to the range of services we provide through our branches.”
Customers can register for Digicel Mobile Money for free by dialing *888#; each new number registered for Digicel Mobile Money will each receive $1 free money on the mobile wallet when carrying out their first transaction, and will also be entered into a draw to win $1,000.
Digicel Mobile Money is regulated by the Reserve Bank of Fiji and supported by the UnitedNations Development Programme’s Pacific Financial Inclusion Fund (PFIP) and the GSM Association (GSMA) with a view to promoting financial inclusion within Fiji and the Pacific Islands. Digicel Mobile Money aims to assist in addressing the needs of the 70% of Fijians who do not have access to basic financial services.
The service through BSP branches will become progressively available over the next few weeks.

· The ability to instantly buy and send Top Up
· Pay Digicel post-paid bills
· Check balance and transaction history and manage security password
