Friday, 19th March 2010, Fiji: Digicel continues to set the standard in Fiji by offering customers even better value with 1 cent per unit calls and text messages weeknights and weekends, launched this week.
Customers on the “It’s Simple” plan will now pay only 1 cent per unit on all Digicel to Digicel calls and 1 cent per text message Digicel to Digicel on weeknights from 7pm – 7am and all weekend. Digicel to Digicel calls and text messages during peak hours will continue to be an unrivalled 5 cents per unit and 5 cents per text message respectively while calls to other networks and landlines remain at an extremely competitive 20 cents per unit.
Matt Davey, Digicel Fiji’s CEO said, “We received a hugely positive response from the public to ‘Its Simple’ when we launched in February, for removing the confusion in the market and revealing the best calling rates in Fiji. Enjoy talking at nights and weekends with Digicel and pay only 10 cents for a 5 minute call.”
To register for the “It’s Simple” plan, customers simply send a blank text to 123, and can start making calls and sending texts at these flat rates right away. Customers who register automatically qualify for the 1 cent off-peak call & text rate.
This 1 cent rate applies until further notice.
