David Butler-Chief Executive Officer
David Butler was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Digicel Fiji in August 2010. Prior to this, he was the Chief Executive Officer for Digicel Vanuatu and before that he headed Digicel Tonga. David joined Digicel in 2005, prior to that he worked with Esat Telecom in Ireland.David spent almost 3 years working in Barbados and Aruba islands in Digicel Caribbean. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Masters in Business Studies. David hails from Dublin, Ireland.
Eugene O’Shaughnessy-Chief Technical Officer
Eugene O’Shaughnessy joined Digicel in Aug 2006 and was instrumental in the Digicel Samoa rollout. Mr O’Shaughnessy was formally an employee of Esat Digifone who was bought out by BT and then became O2 communications. He has spent over 10 years designing, implementing and upgrading the IT infrastructure for O2 Ireland and O2 UK. He is based in Fiji.
Jesse Alison-Chief Financial Officer
As CFO for Digicel Fiji, Jesse is responsible for managing all aspects of Digicel Fiji’s financial matters, and for driving value within the business. Jesse joined Digicel in August 2010 and has over 15 years experience in Telco and professional services working for Vodafone, Telecom NZ, Ernst and Young and PWC in Sydney and London. Jesse is a member of the ICAA and also has an honors degree from the University of Hull in Business. Jesse is based in Fiji.
Kamal Haer- Head of Marketing
Kamal joined Digicel in January 2011 as Head of Marketing of Digicel Fiji and is currently responsible for marketing in Digicel Fiji.
Kamal has 16 years experience in the telecoms industry. Prior to joining Digicel, Kamal worked with Telecoms NZ for 7yrs in Senior Marketing and Strategic roles. Kamal was also holding a senior Marketing position in Air Pacific. Kamal is based in Fiji.
Maurice McCarthy- Head of Sales and Distribution
Maurice joined Digicel in April 2009 as Head of Sales and Distribution.
Maurice has over 20 years sales experience. Over the years, Maurice has been involved in mobile industries in Ireland as the National Sales Manager and Director of Sales and Distribution. He has been a valuable employee in Telecoms and Eircom in Ireland for 10 and 7 years respectively.
In Fiji, Maurice has been very affluent in building the Corporate business, refining retail structure and footprint and implementing effective distribution channels.
